VARICENT TRAINING GROUP
Varicent Training Group offers a broad range of training options for both beginner and experienced Varicent users. Our workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of the attendees, and our talented instructors are experienced users of Varicent themselves. Whether your goal is to shorten start-up times or increase overall efficiency, our Training Group provides the requisite, hands-on training. We provide the training at your designated site, or if more convenient, we offer a series of web-based training as well.
Varicent can also provide you with professional, customized training courses based on specific requirements. An instructor will consult with you to ensure that the courseware design, structure and content all conform to your particular needs. Please refer to our list of standard online and on-site courses to determine which ones best meet your project objectives.
Varicent Training Sessions
Standard Curriculum
ICM Basic – a three-day course, covering all aspects of the Varicent SPM incentive compensation management module. At the conclusion of training, trainees will be comfortable navigating through a Varicent SPM ICM model, and be able to maintain and modify basic to moderate import routines, compensation plans and reports.
Performance Analytics – a two-day training course providing users with in-depth knowledge of OLAP (online analytical processing) to analyze multi-dimensional data. Trainees will learn to explore their compensation data from any perspective by dynamically sorting, selecting and pivoting information.
Quota Planning – a two-day course providing trainees with the ability to develop sales goles and quotas with minimum time and effort. Trainees will learn to create what-if scenarios, view side-by-side comparisons of targets to actual results and analyze significant variances from the plan.
Perform Methodology – a two-day course teaching the five phases of the Varicent Perform! methodology: Prepare, Discover, Build, Test & Train and Perform. Trainees will learn how to use Varicent Perform’s repeatable and scalable approach to guarantee a successful implementation.
Bootcamp – a five-day course providing ICM basic training, Varicent Perform! methodology training and hands-on model creation and experience. Trainees will gain experience creating various commission plans, calculations and reports and how to use Varicent Perform’s repeatable and scalable approach to guarantee a successful implementation.
Advanced Curriculum
Advanced ICM– a two-day course that builds upon the compensation plan building skills obtained in basic training and teaches trainees to calculate and report on moderate to advanced compensation plans. Trainees will model difficult compensation plans and use real-life examples to impart practical knowledge on advanced calculation creation and report building. ICM Basic is a pre-requisite for this course.
Workflow & Tasks– a two-day course focusing on model management and maintenance. Trainees will learn about end user Web access, workflow approval, inquiry resolution and task management. ICM Basic is a pre-requisite for this course.
Best Practices– a two-day course that elevates the trainee’s ICM experience by teaching techniques and methods that are most effective when designing a model or building a compensation plan. Trainees will learn, in detail, about model design, advanced manipulation of time, performance considerations, as well as other general best practices. ICM Basic is a pre-requisite for this course.
Advanced Performance Analytics – a two-day course providing exhaustive and in-depth training on leveraging the scalability and flexibility of Varicent’s performance analytics tools. Trainees will learn to slice-and-dice data in whatever way they choose in order to explore, analyze and report on compensation information. Performance Analytics is a pre-requisite for this course.
