July 19, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – Varicent Software Incorporated, the leading innovator and provider of incentive compensation and sales performance management (SPM) solutions, today announced that Mike Meisenheimer, a veteran expert in sales compensation and sales operations, has joined as Director of Industry Solutions and Bruce Jackson is taking over responsibility for Business Development.

Effective immediately, Mr. Meisenheimer joins Varicent to manage the Varicent Business Edition team and will also provide thought leadership on compensation and sales effectiveness practices for Varicent product teams and customers.  Over the last two decades, Meisenheimer has worked with Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 high technology, financial services, telecommunications and manufacturing companies, helping to improve sales, marketing and customer service effectiveness. He is a recognized leader in the areas of incentive compensation design and administration.  Much of his work has focused on linking business strategy, operational processes and employee alignment to drive tangible business results.

Varicent is also pleased to announce that Bruce Jackson will transition into a new role of Vice President, Business Development. Jackson will focus on working with global sales and services teams on end-to-end enablement of partners from sales through delivery. Jackson previously served as Varicent’s Vice President, Solutions Consulting advising and guiding the company on an operational level and in particular, providing implementation subject matter expertise.  Prior to joining Varicent, Jackson led the Business Solutions team at Iconixx.
