February 16, 2012 (Sydney, Australia) – Varicent Software Incorporated announced today that Telstra Corporation Limited, Australia’s leading telecommunications carrier and information services company, has selected the Varicent software application to enable the company to better manage a division of the company’s incentive compensation plans and processes. Telstra provides fixed-line services to more than eight million access lines and serves more than 12 million mobile phone customers in Australia. 

Telstra was looking to automate processes involved in incentive payments and wanted to streamline its existing processes into one system. Telstra selected Varicent to provide a new system that will manage, model and analyse the various incentive payments in the business, enterprise and government sales division.

Varicent provides: 

• A single application to manage sales compensation plans, data and processes with full transparency
• Automated commission calculations, web-based commission statements and dashboards
• The ability for managers to validate sales and commission payments online with the latest  information
• Features to track and identify any changes to commission plans, inquiries or sign offs
• Modeling and forecasting capability allowing to simulate the effects of plan changes or adding new components prior to rolling out
