Ainsworth Inc. Selects Varicent Business Edition to Save Time and Money

April 28, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – Varicent Software Incorporated, the leading innovator and provider of incentive compensation and sales performance management (SPM) solutions, announced today that Ainsworth Inc., a provider of building systems, maintenance, power, conservation and renewable energy services, has selected Varicent’s mid-market compensation software solution, Varicent Business Edition, to manage its sales incentive compensation plans and sales commissions processes.  Ainsworth Inc., with headquarters in Toronto and offices across Canada, serves clients in the industrial, commercial and institutional markets.  Ainsworth approached Varicent after learning that the company had received the number one ranking in PROFIT 100’s 2010 list of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies.

Like many organizations, Ainsworth was managing incentive compensation plans via a time-consuming Excel-based solution and needed greater flexibility to accommodate plan changes, improved reporting and modeling and the ability to minimize errors and reduce administrative costs.

"We needed a flexible application that could be managed by our business managers and would allow for seamless data integration,” said Yves Lemoine, Vice-President Commercial & Institutional Sectors, Ainsworth Inc.  "We were impressed by Varicent’s single, centralized solution that not only meets our current needs, but will support our future business requirements as we continue to grow.”

Specifically, Varicent Business Edition was chosen because of its:

  • Ease of managing multiple sales compensation plans and ability to extend incentives to additional people in the organization
  • Effortless capability around changing plans including calculating exceptions, overrides and splits
  • Reporting and modeling capabilities including the ability to easily share results
  • Ability to be managed by business users without technical expertise
  • Credibility and proven commitment to customer success

"We are very excited about Varicent Business Edition and Ainsworth Inc. is the perfect candidate for this mid-market solution,” said Laura Roach, General Manager of Varicent’s mid-market business unit. "We know that Ainsworth will enjoy marked improvement in their compensation management processes when they go live with our solution and we look forward to working with them in the coming months."
