Dan Shimmerman
President
Dan Shimmerman, a founder of Varicent and president, is focused on growing Varicent, its technologies, and its culture. Dan has more than 15 years experience in accounting, sales and technology, working with world class clients such as Deutsche Bank, SAFECO Insurance, Aetna Insurance, Lincoln Financial Group and Jim Beam Brands. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from York University and an MBA from the University of Toronto. Dan is a Chartered Accountant. |

Marc Altshuller
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations
Marc Altshuller, a founder of Varicent, serves as vice president of worldwide field operations. In his role, he oversees Varicent’s North American direct and partner sales. Prior to founding Varicent, Marc served as vice president of marketing for Clarity Systems Ltd. Other previous experience includes working with EPS software, where Marc held roles such as management consultant, vice president of professional services and vice president of sales and marketing. |

Brian Hartlen
Vice President, Marketing
Brian Hartlen is responsible for Varicent’s marketing and brand strategy, corporate communications, product marketing and demand generation efforts. Brian comes to Varicent with more than 30 years experience in the enterprise software industry, in a variety of roles at Kalido, Comshare and Geac. |

Richard Vaughan
Vice President, Global Services
Rick Vaughan is Varicent’s vice president of global services. In his role, Rick leads Varicent’s worldwide client services offerings, including Varicent and partner professional services, client training and implementation engagements. Prior to joining Varicent, Rick spent ten years with PeopleSoft/Oracle, most recently as group vice president of Oracle Consulting. He has extensive services and project delivery experience in the U.S. and in Europe. |

Rod Radojevic
Vice President, Product Marketing
Rod Radojevic is responsible for Varicent’s product marketing and thought leadership. Rod is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and Webinars and has deep knowledge of the issues driving sales performance management. Rod has more than 15 years experience in finance and technology and has held positions with Extensity, Comshare, PricewaterhouseCoopers and other firms. Rod is a Certified Public Accountant and an American Management Association faculty member. |

Neil Whitney
Vice President, Development
Neil Whitney serves as Varicent’s vice president of development, directing all product development efforts and bringing Varicent’s technology vision to fruition. Prior to joining Varicent, Neil was vice president of sales and marketing for EPS Software. Neil has implemented financial analytics systems at many organizations throughout North America, including Investors Group, Capital Health Management, Canada Lands Corporation and Warner Lambert. |

Martin Saipe
Vice President, Corporate Development
Martin Saipe, serving as vice president of corporate development, develops and implements Varicent’s plans for corporate growth. Prior to joining Varicent, Martin served in legal roles with the Bank of Nova Scotia, Alliance Atlantis Communications and Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Western Ontario, an MBA and a law degree from the University of Toronto. |

Jordan Shnier
Vice President, Finance
Jordan Shnier oversees all areas of Finance and Administration for Varicent. Previously, Jordan worked with Eventi Capital Partners, a Toronto-based private equity firm where he was responsible for overseeing all financial requirements while also providing operational guidance to its portfolio companies. Other experience includes serving as a financial consultant to technology start-ups. Jordan is a Chartered Accountant and spent five years with Deloitte and Touche. He has a BA from Western University and an MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Business. |

Mark Girvan
Vice President, Business Development
Mark Girvan directs Varicent's business development efforts, responsible for Varicent’s channel and technology partnerships. Prior to joining Varicent, Mark was the director of channel sales for Platform Computing. Other previous experience includes serving as a senior consultant with The McKenna Group, an associate with A. T. Kearney, and roles at Secure Computing and Kolvox Communications. Mark holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a BA from Queen’s University. |
